Lynn Wiles, M.A.,VRC

Lynn has been a highly successful job developer for more than 20 years. Since 2001, she has carried out contractual work as an Employment Specialist ("Qualified Vendor") for Oregon's Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind. Lynn has an excellent placement record and numerous contacts with businesses and organizations throughout the Portland Metropolitan area including Columbia County and Southwest Washington. Prior to becoming a vendor and forming Wiles & Associates, Lynn was a Program Coordinator for the Cascade AIDS Project, where she assisted individuals with HIV and AIDS who were returning to work. Lynn also previously managed the Oregon Business Leadership Network, revitalizing a network of employers around disability employment best practices. Lynn was the creator and long-time co-facilitator of the Portland Job Developers Network ("JDN"), which currently boasts a membership of more than 200 agencies. She received a state-wide award from the Oregon Department of Human Services for teamwork in facilitating the JDN. Lynn has worked on behalf of people with a broad range of physical and mental disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Lynn is a certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and holds a masters degree in Cultural Anthropology and a bachelor's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Pathwise: "Providing Advocacy through Health, Work, Insurance Solutions and Education"

Kent Wiles

Prior to starting Wiles & Associates, Kent spent more than nine years as the Programs & Services Manager for the Oregon Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; he specialized in the areas of employment, government relations and independent living programs. He is also the co-founder and Executive Director of Pathwise, Inc., a non-profit that presents programs on insurance and life planning for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses as well as healthcare professionals. He holds a bachelors degree in Social Science and a national certificate in Employment Services from the Center for Continuing Education in Rehabilitation at Western Washington University.

Lynn and Kent met through their work on behalf of the employment interests of people with disabilities. Together, they have more than 31 years of experience focusing on the employment of people with disabilities.
